The objective of Rummy 500 is to form a hand where most or all cards can be arranged into sets and runs, aiming to keep the point value low for unmatched cards.

The game is won by the first player to reach a cumulative score of 500 or more over several hands. In this game, players are not limited to taking only the top card from the discard pile; multiple cards can be picked to reach a specific card lower down needed for a valid meld.

Rummy 500 Game Rules:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 players required.</li>
<li>A sequence comprises three or more consecutive cards of the same suit.</li>
<li>Players can extend existing combinations with extra cards, known as laying off.</li>
</ul>

500 Partnership Rummy:
<ul>
<li>The rules are similar to regular 500 Rummy, but partners sit across from each other. The hand stops when any player rummies, and partners calculate a joint score based on positive and negative points.</li>
</ul>

Persian Rummy:
<ul>
<li>A form of 500 Partnership Rummy with four Jokers added to the deck. Jokers must be melded in groups and are worth 20 points each if melded or -20 points if kept in hand at the end of the deal.</li>
